FOREIGN LANGUAGES?

Wow, I did not realize how many people have been taught from a man on this subject that has been taken as sound doctrine when, in fact, it does not even make sense. Let’s see by the Holy Spirit, then you tell me what really makes sense. Even by the carnal mind, it can be understood. Please, as so many read the first paragraph, they are saying it is foreign languages only. Please read the entire epistle before making comments, so you do not look foolish. We are here to help, bless, and edify, not argue and fight. Let us take the time and just focus on this topic – foreign languages – first. This is crazy because this was the only time it was spoken in the Bible, once in the book of Acts. It never said they spoke in foreign languages in the Bible. It said they heard in their own language. But we know this has happened as well. At least their testimonies of it or at least people said, “Hey, you spoke our native tongue for the Gospel. Now my question is: Is there anything God cannot do? Even if it does not say this, we believe it because people have said it. He is so big. When Holy Fruit is grown, who can come against it, but let’s get into this. The only thing that religious sects like to do is to quench Him.

“And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:3-4)

What is really written is that they all heard in their own language. This is a big difference that many do not see. Remember, Paul was not present or one of them that had received it at that time. It was the baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. See, we find many different situations recorded in the Word.

“John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” What John was saying “unto them all”, not the apostles only, NOT the modern-day Pentecostal only (as we love to title people that do not look like we do). Let us break down religious doctrines of division because all of them are bringing division. That is what Satan does. So, let us go deep again into this topic with all the scriptures.

Let me ask you this question about speaking in tongues: If this is the same tongues and the only tongues that they speak about, where are all the interpreters in the book of Acts? If it was a foreign language, they only speak in Acts chapter 2? They heard but it was “other tongues,” meaning a tongue that they did not know (unknown), even to the ones who spoke it. They didn’t even know what it was they were saying, but they knew it was God, as Peter cried mentioning Joel’s prophecy. If that was not so, then how in the world would a bunch of people standing around understand 120 different people speaking or praying or yelling whatever in tongues at the same time or for that matter 18 plus different languages. It’s insane to think like this. Now that would be so confusing to the religious-minded, but that was a miracle!

They all heard it in their own language. WOW! A miracle, meaning they must have been given a gift of interpretation or God did a miracle, as always, He is capable of doing that. Stop to think - the religious today would rebuke them because there was no interpreter. Guess what? They interpreted themselves because they heard. Unknown became known to them and to others. It’s chaos and foolish, as the religious say, “gibberish.”

This became a sign to all the unbelieving bystanders standing around and to the ones who understood it in their native tongue. As they say in church, one person speaking in tongues needs an interpreter; now they have 120 at the same time, so where are all the interpreters? See, on this occasion, there was a pouring out as the Spirit gave them utterance. We will find out later in scripture that they also have a gift. We can give utterances or speak as the Spirit moves us. Come on, God wants us to think, to see, and to tear down everything that is quenching His Spirit in the church. Paul is speaking about order, but this day it looked like chaos, but it was glorious!

Let’s read some passages below that show that the people heard it in their own language. This is the one aspect of tongues that many sects use to make you believe that this is it. So, we have to believe when He says “diverse kinds of tongues” that it is tongues for different purposes. Diverse meaning variety; vastly different, taken from the dictionary. Let's take a look.

“To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another diverse kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.” (1 Corinthians 12:10)

Do you not see that even with this, God is wanting us to need each other, and we have different functions because it's about a body, not just a head!

Here are some more functions that some religious sects will say no longer are so and have passed away and demonized those who have it, or mock them because they do not have it themselves. So, they must make up something for their pride and turn it into a foreign language only when there so many functions of tongues. Then they use one passage to try to quench the Spirit of God. “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels…”

Let’s look at some more scripture on tongues.

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” (1 Corinthians 14:2)

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” (1 Corinthians 14:14-15)

“Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” (Romans 8:26)

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” (Jude 20)

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.” (Mark 16-17)

These sects say the Holy Spirit and the gifts stopped with the apostles. So, what they are saying is “Let’s throw away half the New Testament. If that does not work, we take one scripture and call them all demonic.” But we who know about praying in tongues know that when we do it, we feel our spirit rise and begin to be strengthened when we do this. They do not, so instead of seeking to have it, they find reasons to fault it or make it not important. This is wrong! The only ones who cannot be deceived about their doctrine are the ones who have tasted and been given this gift. How dare they say we do not need the Holy Spirit’s gifts today! We need Him more now than ever with darkness and deception rising. This is the work of the enemy because if it's anti-Holy Spirit, it is anti-Christ. Period! We need Him now more than ever. We covet all the gifts.

Just because some have not ministered the gifts righteously or properly does not make them of no effect. Just because some who have been given the gift have fallen or gotten off in some ways, that still does not make the gift to be not of God. Remember: The gifts and the callings are without repentance. We are the ones who must not let satan in and must walk in integrity. Do not blaspheme the Holy Spirit because of a dishonorable vessel. That is a trick of satan. If the Pharisees tried to do it to an honorable vessel, they do it even more to the Body of Christ if they did it to Christ Himself. These are modern-day Pharisees, different clothes but the same on the inside.

Now let’s look at this one with cloven tongues of fire.

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? (Acts 2:1-8)

There were 18 or so different nations mentioned standing around. There could have even been more, but this is what was mentioned. Can you imagine what it looked like to someone standing around? They said these people were crazy or drunk…but God broke in and it was a miracle. Some people receive this baptism all alone with no one around, like what happened with me and so many others. So, I just had an experience and a kiss from heaven and this is how I knew I was baptized in Him. Now I have this gift of tongues ever since, and it cannot be taken away from us. As it is written, it says the gifts are without repentance. Now we must steward it in righteousness.

Then we hear those bystanders saying and thinking that it was a big, crazy, and demonic thing, but to the ones who heard it in their own language, it was amazing. Some became believers that day for sure, and they told all the mockers that it was not gibberish, it was not fake, it was not crazy, but it was God. It is crazy how only some that heard them speak said “These men are all drunk!” Craziness! We have the same today, judging something from without that they do not know of personally. To the ones who heard and the ones who spoke, they sure knew it was God. It’s just like that today. People judging by their own doctrine or own indoctrination cannot unify the body because one thing is true, and that is the truth and there is only one.

“And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? Others mocking said, these men are full of new wine.” (Acts 2:12-13)

Tongues of angels were spoken about in the Bible as speaking in tongues. Praying in tongues was spoken about all through the Bible, so why do you think that God would give a prayer language then tell us not to use it? No matter what they say or think, they cannot take it away because they did not give it. When Paul said “If one speaks in tongues in the church, let there be an interpreter”, it was because it was useless in that compacity, but let’s wrap our minds around this. So usually everyone in a church speaks the same language nowadays so why would one need to interpret in a foreign language if we all are speaking the same language? Because it is not a foreign language, it is an unknown tongue. All who have it all have their own different one.

We are interpreting the heavenly tongues (or language) so we do not know what the tongue is saying, so God tells what His tongues are in our own language with the gift of the interpretation of tongues. When tongue and language were not known, then some interpreted to all because it is a gift in this setting, so God will use another body part to interpret from one spirit to another. This is speaking in tongues, not praying in tongues or in the Spirit.

So now some religious sects say we can’t pray, sing in the Spirit in the church setting or saying it’s demonic. You better step back and be careful because you decide to just believe parts of the Word that help your own doctrine. You have no right to tell anyone they cannot pray to their God in His gifting because they are not talking to you or anyone else as long as it is decent and in order and not disrupting but everything they are doing is in the Spirit and not the flesh. Interpreting a heavenly language and it is a gift.

Are you not tired of all this confusion? Demonizers and religious Pharisees so Steven said to them, “Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.”! If this gift comes from heaven so do the tongues, then we would just prophesy. I tell you this, no one’s tongues are like anyone else’s so it’s a personal gift from God. The gifts are from Him, and if you do not believe them, you never had them!

How do you know the same person who prayed in tongues and now starts to prophesy in their language was actually giving the interpretation because this person may have both gifts? See, people with the gift cannot be told what others without the gift can receive because what we received it is written and you cannot take it away. You can only just stop others from wanting it or receiving it. That is wicked. These same people say that the Holy Spirit does not move through vessels called the Body of Christ but then He can still do the biggest miracle called being born again. So no, God never tied His hands. You are the one quenching Him. It’s time to repent. Because you say you know you will never know. God resists the proud and gives grace (gifts) to the humble.
